DJ Omar Khan

Omar has always had a passion for mixing music, and his hard work has lead to notoriety in Los Angeles.

Omar is LA born and started DJing in highschool at the age of sixteen. He spent countless hours in his bedroom mixing house, hip-hop, rock and 80’s new wave on some cheap turntables and mixer he purchased from money he made from his first job (shout out to Baker’s drive-thru). From there he would join his best friend Eddie, who was one of his inspirations to become a DJ, at various events. Omar would mostly help Eddie set-up and lug record crates; however, from time to time, Eddie would need a bathroom break, and Omar would hop on the one’s and two’s. That would be the start of his DJ career. From backyard parties, proms, anniversaries, flyer parties, Omar quickly fell in love with the DJ life.

Shortly after highschool Omar got a job at Sam Ash music where he worked in the Pro Audio department. He learned everything about sound/dj equipment, microphones, lighting and also was able to buy his very first professional P.A. After 6 months, he was hired by a patron who owned a DJ company and became one of his regular Wedding DJs. At the same time, Omar started working at The World Famous KROQ 106.7 FM as a paid intern. He would answer phones, get coffee: all the normal intern stuff . Eventually, he got to help legendary DJ Richard Blade when he came in to host the Flashback Lunch. Richard and Omar became friendly and Omar became one of the staff DJs at the DJ company that Richard DJed for at the time. Pretty soon Omar started receiving requests for his services from people that would see him perform, so he decided to spin off and do his own thing.

About 2 years after joining The World famous KROQ FM and The Kevin and Bean Show, Omar started mixing KROQ’s NYE Show. Shortly thereafter, he opened up for DJ’s & bands like Paul Oakenfold, Christopher Lawrence, BT, Christian Smith, LCD SoundSystem, DJ AM, MSTRKRFT, Z-TRIP, John Kelly, The Killers…and more.

For the next few years Omar played the Hollywood/Celebrity Club, Rave, Bar scene and eventually Omar would mix on Kevin and Bean’s Party Machine (an anything goes radio mix show) where he would really get to explore the art of being an open format DJ. Mixing Rick James, Rage Against the Machine, Run DMC, George Clinton, Usher, Spice Girls, Beck, Drake, Killers, Kanye, Daft Punk, Snoop, Kool and the Gang and everything in between.

Now, he continues to bring his energy and over 25 years of DJ experience (close to 1000 Weddings) across the States with his mobile DJ company.

Whether a Wedding, Private Party or Corporate event, he makes sure the dancefloor is packed and customers are satisfied.

From the minute we first started working with Omar, he was professional, funny, kind and really understood the vibe we were hoping to achieve for our wedding reception. Throughout the entire night, Omar made sure the guests were having a great time on the dance floor.

Omar is an AMAZING DJ. My guests are still talking about my wedding and how great the music was. I don’t think I sat down for more than 10 minutes or walked off the dance floor more than a few times the whole night.
